The 26th World Congress of the International Union of Architects, UIA Seoul 2017, will take place at the COEX Centre and at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul in Korea, from 3 to 10 September 2017.
The Academic Programme of the Congress has planned to emphasize research and architectural design in the form of presentations and discussions of theoretical research as well as of projects and realisations on the Congress’ theme: “The Soul of the City.” Three sub-themes can be developed: City and Culture, City and Future, City and Nature. Proposals on other themes, different from the aforementioned are welcome on the condition that they relate to the main theme of the Congress: “THE SOUL OF THE CITY.”…

UIA RIO 2020 THE IAB PRESENTS THE OFFICIAL LOGO OF THE 2020 UIA CONGRESS IN RIO
Glaucio Campelo, designer based in Rio, has won the competition for the design of the event’s logo.
The Institute of Architects of Brazil (IAB) has just revealed the logo for the 27th World Congress of Architects, UIA 2020 RIO. The symbol proposed by Glaucio Campelo, of UniDESIGN, Rio de Janeiro, in partnership with designer and professor PUC-RIO Suzana Valadares Fonseca, was chosen from among 48 other participants in a competition launched for the logo.
With the theme, “All Worlds. One World. Architecture in the 21st Century,” the congress will take place in Rio in July 2020.
